We've heard about all the alternatives used and seen the damage that can result by cutting corners or using the wrong thing. Your windmill needs frequent oil changes to maintain its performance and longevity. Current manufacturers and vintage trade literature always recommend changing oil at least once a year. And the oil to be used is very different than that you use in todays high tech automobiles. Detergent and synthetic oils will foam and cause clogging. Heavy oils or transmission fluid will not maintain proper viscosity in cold climates. This oil is specially bottle by the worlds largest windmill manufacturer and meets the standards set throughout time for windmill use.
